If you attended the last meeting, you will recall that we didn't vote on a project. We had an online form, and eventually decided to do a ping pong ball tea light craft (Ha! The craft has to do with light! That's why the title has to do with light as well!).
First, we reviewed important things about elections, such as the requirements to run. As a reminder, remember to fill out the election sign up form on the home page of the website if you want to run. The link to the points log is right underneath it if you would like to check that out.
After that, we began preparing the project. This project was pretty easy to prepare, since we only had to cut holes into each ping pong ball and test each tea light. Some members thought of a genius idea to create the holes with pens instead of blades, which was awesome. Thanks homies. Unfortunately, we only have enough supplies to do 15 projects at the nursing home, so it would be awesome if you, awesome reader, donated some electric tea lights for Saturday.
A huge announcement came out today as well. The Allen Arts Alliance contacted us about the Allen Arts Fest, and offered us a booth! We gladly accepted the offer, and began planning for that event. So far, we have our projects decided and a few decoration ideas. We will be having an additional meeting to prepare for this event, and the date will be posted on the home page (as well as sent out through Remind). After the event on Saturday, I will put everything related to the Arts Fest on the Current Project page.
So, that's basically it. As always, the PowerPoint from this meeting is attached, so feel free to review it.
With a cordial goodbye, I will see you next time at the Victoria Gardens nursing home.
In case you missed out, here is an account to catch you up!
